The housekeeping team is responsible for ensuring the hotel is clean and welcoming for our guests. The
housekeeping team will clean the guest rooms as both a stayover service as well as after guests have checked
out. Housekeepers will make beds, clean bathrooms, sweep/mop, vacuum, dust, collect garbage, clean windows,
and stock amenities (towels, soap, etc.). Another aspect of the housekeeping team is cleaning the public areas of
the hotel such as sweeping/mopping the lobby, cleaning the public bathrooms, vacuuming the hallways,
emptying outside garbages, and cleaning the pool area. They may also be expected to help in the laundry room
by filling/emptying washers and dryers, folding sheets and towels, and stocking the housekeeping closets.
This is a physical position and individuals need to be able to be on their feet for the majority of their shift. Be
able to push/pull heavy objects (housekeeping carts, laundry bins, etc.). Employees need to be detail oriented
and have good time managment skills – it is important to do the job well but to get the rooms cleaned in a timely
fashion.
