When I first arrived here, everything felt overwhelming. Adjusting to a new family, making new friends and navigating a different school system was no small challenge. But with unwavering support from my teachers and the warm hospitality of everyone around me, I gradually found my balance. Adapting to a new lifestyle may seem intimidating but it’s surprisingly manageable when surrounded by kind-hearted people who make you feel welcome. One of my biggest comforts has been the cats in my host family’s house; their presence has a calming effect that words can’t describe. This exchange program has been an incredibly rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much, not only academically but also about myself. I participated in unique activities like stagecraft, horse riding and skiing, as well as the creative outings my host family planned. Each day brought something new and exciting, making this journey unforgettable. I’m deeply grateful for these six months, as they’ve been filled with personal growth, cherished memories and the joy of embracing a different culture.
